Installation Tips
The only installation step that takes some time is the shield install. As the instruction book says it "requires a little patience and wiggle technique", the shield does fit, I might add very nicely.
- I found it easier to install the shield first and then install the intake pipe, mass meter, and the rubber mounting grommet, with them attach when trying to install the shield, the items would get hung up on the car, once removed the shield install seem to go much easier.
- When installing the shield between the radiator and head light assemble there is a wiring harness that hangs down between both. This harness goes to the bumper marker light. When standing in front of the car this wiring harness can be moved out of the way by re-positioning the harness onto the right side of the head light assemble, nothing need to be discounted, just moved out of the way. Once the shield is installed the harness can be moved back.
- When positioning the shield between the radiator and head light it will only go in to a point until you line up the little notch in the shield to go around a flange on the car, by looking down and very forward into the shield you will see this notch. You might find you need to assist the notch up and around the flange, by rocking or lifting the shield up a bit by placing a hand between the engine and shield and then up under the shield.
